Latest News. I've found several cross family connections while researching, (related to the same person twice) but my most surprising has to be my most recent Bowness to Walshaw connection. Its was probably bound to happen, or should I say had happened. But I recently found some new information regarding the Hallas family from Mirfield. I've been looking into them for the last month or so, due to been connected through my late Grandmother, Mary Hallas Bowness (nee) Trotter. Her father Hallas Trotter was the son of John Trotter & Emma Hallas (notice the continuing surname usage). Emma's father, Benjamin Hallas was the son of another Benjamin who was born in Burton (c)1793. He was married in Thornhill wyorks the 3rd of July 1820, to a lady by the name of Hannah,,Walshaw,, none other than the daughter of my already 5th Great-grandfather Charles Walshaw. I've added all the new information to my database and also the site. Now when I run a relationship calculation between Charles and myself, it still calculates he's my 5th GGfather but shows the Bowness, Trotter, Hallas lineage. |
